Our Story
Faolan — from the Irish Gaelic word for "wolf" — was founded in 2020 by Morne Beeslaar, a project controls specialist with over 20 years of experience delivering certainty to capital-intensive projects across mining, energy, water, and infrastructure.
The name reflects our philosophy: wolves succeed through intelligence, discipline, and relentless execution. In a world where capital projects routinely overrun on cost and schedule, Faolan exists to bring order, predictability, and data-driven control.
What sets Faolan apart is our integration of artificial intelligence into traditional project controls disciplines. While competitors still rely on manual spreadsheet analysis, we build proprietary technology — ScheduleIQ, ProdRates, CostIQ — that transforms raw project data into actionable intelligence at scale.
Today, Faolan has controlled over $60 billion in capital expenditure across 60+ projects in 9 sectors, operating from our headquarters in Pretoria, South Africa with project delivery across the African continent.

With over 20 years of experience in project controls and capital project delivery, Morne founded Faolan Consulting in 2020 to bring AI-integrated project controls to Africa and the Middle East. His career spans mega-projects across mining, energy, water, and infrastructure sectors, with direct oversight of $60B+ in capital expenditure. A recognised authority in Primavera P6 scheduling, earned value management, and forensic delay analysis. As Technical Director, Morne leads Faolan's innovation and AI integration strategy.
Michelle Beeslaar
Managing Director
Michelle Beeslaar is the Managing Director of Faolan Consulting, responsible for the firm's operations, client relationships, commercial performance, and strategic direction across all entities. With deep experience in project controls delivery and business management, Michelle has been central to every significant engagement Faolan has undertaken. As MD, she leads the firm's growth into new markets — including the Middle East — and oversees the transition from a specialist consultancy to an AI-integrated product and services firm.
